The Tahoe House Hotel , with its 15 rooms and a Carriage House suite has been lovingly restored to it’s original splendor. Built in 1859, in the heart of Virginia City it served as an elegant place for visitors to stay on the Comstock and the rooms and halls are still alive with the sounds of
yesterday . There is a Great Room with a wonderful pot-belly stove, where you can relax, have a drink and visit with people from all corners of the world. The perfect place for weddings , parties, family reunions, seminars and business meetings Each room in the hotel has it’s own bathroom, a luxurious antique bed with a wonderfully comfortable mattress, stuffed with the finest Nevada straw. We have a number of amazing modern conveniences ; flush toilets , hot and cold running water, wireless internet access, catering for any size parties and a massage therapist. If you’re into history, hiking, Mt. and Road bicycling, rock climbing or paragliding we’ll point you in the right direction and more than likely go with you. We serve some great coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice in the morning with a choice of cereals and muffins. We’ll also pour you a glass of wine or open a beer for you at night. If your lucky, Squeek, our world famous piano player will enchant you with some honky-tonk piano playing and Mark Twain ( McAvoy Lane) may be seen wandering our halls at times.
