
Mackay Mansion is re-opening for tours May 1, 2010 Built in 1860 by Geroge Hearst. John Mackay, King of the Comstock, used the mansion as a residence and as the Gould & Curry Mine Office. Between 1860 and 1950, bars of gold bullion were sold directly from the vault. Tour highlights are: mining artifacts, original furnishings, Tiffany silver, and great historical anecdotes.
