
This award winning preservation site was originally constructed in 1876 as a centennial monument to education. The ornate Victorian era four storied building served as a school until 1936. It reopened in 1986 as a museum, community cultural center, and conference facility. Permanent and changing exhibits feature history and culture of the Comstock and tell the real story of the old West. Museum store, handicapped accessible, parking.
